Vice President of Strategy and Growth

We have successfuly completed this engagement.
Be mindful of this excellent new opportunity.

We have another amazing new client to tell you about – one with an extremely promising business model and a deeply worthwhile mission. Mindful Support Services helps mental-health clinicians sustain and expand their practice by providing them with all the business-support “back-end” services they need in order to thrive.

It’s a genius approach, because a lot of really talented therapists lack the time, the resources, or the specific skills required to, say, set up an employee retirement-savings plan or shop around for the best long-term office lease.

Mindful Support Services allows these practitioners to focus on their true calling – which is in greater demand than ever before – by providing them with exactly this kind of necessary administrative support.

In short, if you want to see more mental-health professionals staying in the profession and serving the growing number of people who need their services, then you’ll want to see Mindful Support Services expand and prosper.

Which is the very essence of the job we want to tell you about today. Mindful Support Services is looking for a Vice President of Growth and Strategy to drive and define the growth of this extremely dynamic company.

It’s a very senior role, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer, and it’s based on-site at the organization’s headquarters in the Seattle suburb of Mountlake Terrace.

In the company’s own words, “This position requires a visionary leader who can blend strategic thinking with tactical execution to achieve measurable results.” That’s an apt summary of the diverse talents this role requires.

At the broadest level, it’s about developing and planning the overall growth strategy, which is a live issue at a time when Mindful Support Services is actively planning to expand out of its current strongholds in Washington and Oregon, and into other states.

In support of that expansion, the person in this role provides data-driven insights into market trends, and identifies new geographic areas for growth. As that growth unfolds, this position is responsible for defining and measuring key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform further strategic and tactical decision-making.

Much of this job is about building and maintain relationships, both external and internal. This position is a primary point of contact with industry players and potential partners, and is responsible for leading negotiations for collaborations of all kinds.

But the most important relationships of all are internal; this VP post is tasked with building and leading a high-performing team to execute the overall growth strategy. Mindful Support Services clearly sees this as a culture-building position, and is looking for someone who can provide inspirational and purpose-driven leadership throughout the organization.

To fill this important opening, Mindful Support Services is looking for candidates with at least 15 years of relevant leadership experience, including an extensive track record in business development, strategic planning, and market expansion. A bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA is preferred.

This is a tremendous opportunity for an experienced business leader who is looking for an opportunity to spearhead growth within a values-centered business setting. I have the feeling we’re going to get a lot of interest for this one, so don’t hesitate!

PS From PSP: Between Mindful Support Services and Key Recovery and Life Skills Center, PSP’s client portfolio has certainly been undergoing some growth of its own, into the fascinating and ever-more-important field of mental and emotional health services.

As I’ve mentioned before, this is not a sector we’ve dealt with much in the past, but we’ve welcomed the opportunity to jump into it with these two remarkable organizations. We’re always looking to help companies find excellent people, regardless of the industry. So, no matter what line you’re in, let us know if we can help you build your own winning team. ###
