Technology Meets Generosity”: Mission-driven tech firm seeks Chief Customer Officer

Pushpay is a different kind of Redmond tech company. It started out as a mobile-giving platform that made it easy for people to make charitable donations with the touch of a button. Over time, it has evolved to help nonprofits and their supporters remain engaged with one another, even during COVID. Pushpay’s motto is in the headline above, and it nicely summarizes the corporate ethos.

While Pushpay works closely with nonprofit clients, it is very much a for-profit organization, and it’s going places. Its new CEO, Molly Matthews, is already getting great reviews, and now the company is looking for a Chief Customer Officer to help lead it through a new phase of mission-driven growth.

The CCO is responsible for running a pretty big team – currently 114 people – across a range of customer-service functions. This will include taking a leadership role on two things Pushpay takes very seriously: employee training and the promotion of organizational diversity and inclusivity.

But above all, this position is about shaping the Pushpay customer experience. The company itself summarizes it thus: “This role persistently focuses on the customer and the actions the company takes in support of [the customer] while driving the organization to work together for optimum customer experience delivery.”

To fill this senior executive post, Pushpay is looking for proven achievers who have a passion both for tech and for mission-centered organizations. The company seeks someone with a background in integrating multiple acquisitions and product lines into a cohesive collaborative structure – as well as 15 years or more  of experience in customer-relations management, including building and leading a team in a SaaS setting.

This is a pretty singular company, and it’s looking for a singular kind of person – someone with a lot of heartpower as well as brainpower. Got any ideas? Let me know!

PS From PSP: With apologies to the Sounders and the Seahawks, there’s no doubt that the Seattle Storm are the region’s current pro-sports kingpin. Or is that queenpin? In any event, Sue Bird and her gang have racked up four WNBA titles. And now, as you may have already seen, the Storm has launched a new logo and brand identity.

Looks awesome. But the Storm is not the only female-led Greater Seattle powerhouse getting a new look – PSP is getting a bit of a coming-out-of-COVID revamped look as well! Details to come, very soon.
